In accordance with the Decision Transport Minister No. KM. 91 in 2002 about the Organisation and the Order of the Work of the Directorate General of the Post and the Telecommunications, then since November 28 2002 the structure of the organisation of the Directorate General of post and telecommunications improved one, that is the Institutional Directorate International (To equip available work units: the Secretariat, the Directorate, the Directorate and Informatika of the Telecommunications of the Post of the Directorate General of post and telecommunications, the Directorate and the Orbit of the Satellite of the Frequency of Radio, as well as the Directorate Standarisasi post and telecommunications).

In his development, to support the existence of Dit-KI, the service activities ruitn Dit-KI afterwards was reinforced with the Decision Director General post and telecommunications No. 282/Dirjen/2003 about the Analysis and the Telecommunications of the Task of the Directorate General of the Post. Was based on the Decision Transport Minister and the Decision Director General the Post and this Telecommunications above, then the task and the function of the subject of Dit-KI were to carry out some tasks of the subject of the Directorate General of post and telecommunications in the institutional field international the post and the telecommunications, especially to fight for the Indonesian interest in the postal field and the telecommunications and to hold institutional relations in accordance with the current provisions.
